I have been a qualified dancing teacher for over 25 years, and have taught pupils of all ages since being a teenager.
I first started dancing at my mum's dance school and went on to open Kats Dance Academy in 2011.
I am qualified in all dance subjects and have the following additional qualifications :

I teach across all subjects, including the regulated grades and all age groups including from age 3 to adults and remain part of the management team at the Mary Woods School of Dance

I have had lots of experience in teaching young pupils and have performed in many showtime productions.

I qualified as a Teacher of Dance with the U.K.A in November 2022, gaining regulated grades in Tap & Ballet including Performers Award to level 3 with ' Honors '.
I have experience with performances includes shows and community events.

Hi, I'm Emily. I have been dancing at Kat's Dance Academy since I was 8, going on to complete the Trainee Teacher programme in 2024.
I teach a range of styles for all ages from 3years to adults and I specialise in contemporary and hip-hop/freestyle.

Hi my name is Honey
After joining Kat's Dance Academy when it first opened in 2011, I have made my way through the academy, and went on to complete the Trainee Teacher Programme, becoming a qualified dance teacher with the UKA in 2024.
I teach all ages from 3years to adults, specialising in Tap.

Hi I'm Jen
Both my daughters have been involved with Kat's Dance Academy since 2013, and I began working for the Academy in 2019, managing the front of house and supporting children where needed. I am also Deputy Manager for our Holiday Workshops.
I am a qualified Higher Level Teaching Assistant, and have worked at a SEND school for the last 25 years.
